Help me find mp3s of individual instrument tracks.
I'm looking for individual instrumental tracks, preferably from songs that are reasonably well-known. If someone could direct me to a website where there is a good selection of these, I'll be very grateful.
I'm interested in using them for mash-ups, so anyone with experience in that regard would be especially useful. Thanks so much.

People hacked a lot of the early Rock Band downloads, and the multitrack .mogg files are out there on the internet. You can probably find them with a bit of googling.

Okay, this is not a website with a large selection, but Radiohead released the individual tracks of "Nude" for a remix contest last year. It sucks because you have to buy each individual track from the itunes music store (which I kinda hate anyway), but it is well known!

If you can get midi files of the songs, use midi software to solo individual tracks, then use whatever the best current midi synthesis method is (still soundfont?) to generate wave files, that may or may not be good enough for your purposes.
