Question: Trail Running Shoes for the Wider Feet

Looking for a trail running shoe similar to the Brooks GTS 8. The problem? I'm a 9.5 2E and the shoes I have tried are too narrow. Help!

What's the deal with the lack of width sizes in trail running shoes?

A little about me:
I run often, at minimum 60 miles/week.
I use orthodics.
I love the Brooks GTS 8 because it really helps my overpronation and has corrected a series of running injuries that used to be commonplace for me.

What trail shoe should I get? It does not have to be Brooks. It should, however, be similar enough to the GTS 8 as to where I am still pain free.

Thanks!

The Beast comes in a 2E and it is great for overpronation.

Actually the Beast might not come in 2E. I use the Beast and I have a wide foot. I could swear that I had it in 2E but I can't seem to find that size online. Mine are plenty wide. The New Balance 1011 is a motion control shoe and it comes in 2E. I am not sure what you mean by trail running shoe. The GTS 8 is a street shoe.

The New Balance 909 is a stability (but not motion control) trail running shoe that comes in a 2E.

Road Runner Sports has the GTS 9 in 2E, (and also the Beast in 2E).

A trail running shoe is specifically designed to be run on trails.

It has better traction and more protection.

I just got a Brooks "Beast" in 4E at Sport Chalet and love it. If 2E is narrow for you, as it is for me, it's the way to go.

I don't think anyone is really listening to me here.

The Beast is not a trail running shoe. It provides even more support than my GTS 8. The GTS 8 is perfect for my pronation.

I am looking for a TRAIL running shoe.

The Brooks version of a trail running shoe is the ASR 5. The only problem is that it does not come in different widths.

Then go with a New Balance shoe. They all come in wider widths I believe.
