Looking for a midrange NYC hotel with suites.

I've seen the previous questions, but none address my particular picky requirements. I'm making last-minute arrangement to visit New York the weekend of June 13-14. Three adults and two kids, so we're looking for a non-tiny suite. Price range in the neighborhood of $250/night. East side would be most convenient -- maybe something Union Square-ish? Chelsea Suites is booked, alas. I haven't found a travel aggregator site that will let you search for suites, and the choices are too overwhelming. Help us find somewhere to rest our weary heads!

$250 per night suite in NYC? Doesn't exist.

Especially in the Union Square area.

Check out the suite chains - Marriot's Residence Inn, or Embassy Suuites / Doublewood Suites. I dont know if you can do 250 a night though

The Affinia Dumont is at 34th and Lex -- east side relatively close to Union Square, and has some of the best family-friendly suites (and rates for same) you'll find in Manhattan. You can get suites under $250 for your dates online now. Go for it!

$250 should be more than enough. Use a bidding site.

The Affinia Dumont looks great. Can anyone vouch for Off-Soho Suites?

The Embassy Suites down near the World Financial Center are affordable, pretty nice and have large 2-room suites. It's not right near Union Square, but it's a quick subway ride away.
