UFOs on the Gulf Coast

Looking for reports of UFO sightings and alien encounters in Gulf Shores, Alabama.

I was recently told that the Gulf Coast area of Alabama was a hotbed of UFO sightings and alien encounters in the 1990s. Or should I say, reports of these incidents. Googling didn't come up with anything, so I wondered if anyone had any information on this? Or has anyone even heard of this before? Thanks!

The National UFO Reporting center lists several sightings in Gulf Shores (that view covers the whole state of AL).

Are you sure? I did find this book about a rash of UFO sightings in Gulf Breeze, FL, not Gulf Shores, AL.

Right general area, wrong time frame, too good not to share. I hope the link works, I can't check it at work. Google Grayson Capps Green Monkey Story if the link is broken.

If I recall correctly it was part of a larger UFO flap in the 90s which coincided with the popularity of X-Files and Fox pumping up other UFO-related fakery such as Alien Autopsy. (And almost all of this the can ultimately be blamed on Whitley Strieber.)

I'm too lazy to do a Lexis search, but you could start by identifying local papers and seeing if they have accessible archives.
