Where can I get Wodka Gorbatschow in Chicago?

Where can I find Wodka Gorbatschow in the Chicago area?

I've done some searching, but all I can really find is that the product began US importation around 2001-- I wouldn't mind ordering it online, though a place to go and actually buy it in person would be preferable.

I'm also looking for a food/liquor store in the (preferably northern) Chicagoland area that has European foods-- (Like Spec's in the Houston area) a place I can find curry ketchup, quark, Kinder chocolate, etc.

Thank you!

I can't help you with the liquor portion of your question, but have you tried Treasure Island for the food items? As "America's Most European Super Market" they have a pretty extensive international section.

You can buy Kinder products at Ann's Bakery on Chicago Avenue, near Damen.

Bobak's is on the southside (near Midway), but is full of interesting European foods. They have a liquor section, so they might have your vodka.

You could also try asking the folks at Sam's Wine who may be able to order it for you.

Kinder chocolates (at least the eggs and the hippos) I've found in the bigger Indian groceries up on Devon

As for the vodka, try calling or checking Vas Foremost on Milwaukee and California. Ordinarily If they didn't have it I would then advise going north on Milwaukee until the signs started turning Polish, and checking liquor stores there; a quick Googling reveals that it's a German brand heavily marketed in India so Devon Ave might be a good place to check as well

Kinder Eggs can be found at the Middle East Bakery & Grocery on Foster just west of Clark (Andersonville). Lincoln Quality Meat Market in Lincoln Square seems to have some random European (German, mostly) grocery items, although I haven't been in there. Also perhaps check out the Romanian Kosher Sausage Company in Rogers Park (Clark near Touhy).

Go pretty far west on Belmont (think: near Central) for all things Polish. Bobak's is a very good suggestion.

Also, I forgot to mention: I've been pretty impressed by the foreign food sections of a few Jewels and Dominicks around town. It seems to vary by location and reflect the flavor of the neighborhood. I wanna say I've definitely seen curry ketchup at a Jewel before, as well as assorted Cadbury chocolate products.
