Going slightly potty!

Looking to take my fiancee to a pottery class and some glass-blowing in/near Manchester UK - any recommendations?

Does anyone have any suggestions? Attempts on google has come up with paint-your-own-pottery but I'm looking for a place that lets you start right at the beginning with clay and a potters wheel.

Additionally, I would love to take my fiancee glass-blowing but google-fu has failed me.

My fiancee is very much into putting her own creative touches to household items so any help would make her day!

The St Helens World of Glass has glass-blowing, they might know more about where you can do it yourself.

I've asked Mrs. BinaryApe and she's suggested an adult education course at a local college (some listed here and some listed by the Council), or calling the Fred Aldous shop and asking if they can recommend anything.
