Whatever happened to Susan Wallace, formerly of Switchblade Symphony?

So, Switchblade Symphony broke up and their respective members, Tina Root and Susan Wallace, have gone their separate ways. I know what Tina Root is up to (projects named "Tre Lux" and "SmallHalo"), but I cannot find out what Susan Wallace has been doing — does she have any new bands or projects? Did she just get married and become a real estate agent? Did she change her name to Jill James and taken up busking outside of a Starbucks? Does she make pottery in Alaska? I have no idea.

Part of the problem is that "Susan Wallace" is a bog standard sort of name, coming up with lots and lots of hits but nothing relevant other than "Yeah, Switchblade Symphony." I found a Susan Wallace in a band called CinePhile as I googled about, but the band is in the UK and I can find no mention of a connection between it and Switchblade Symphony. MySpace is a dead end, leading only to Tina Root's current projects. So, after a couple of hours of searching, I figure someone might know and just not have committed the information to the Web as such.

Does anyone know what's she's up to, aside from producing the occasional remix of older material once every few years? I would like to hear her in the scene again, and her being away(-way) anguishes me.

Drop Tina a message on MySpace? I've never had much luck going that route, but you never know. I'm in the same boat with Maria Azevedo, vocalist for Battery. She just completely dropped from the scene about 10 years ago. Perhaps she and Susan live hidden away together cranking out gothically industrious sounds in their dark, private grotto sanctuary.

Incidentally, I have fond memories of seeing Switchblade Symphony and Spahn Ranch opening for Frontline Assembly in 1999, so I'm kind of curious as to what happened to Susan Wallace, too).

Can't help with Susan, but have you listened to Claire Voyant? or maybe Android Lust? I could probably dig up more recommendations if you're interested.

Response by poster: I suppose I will have to create a MySpace account once more (getting those deleted is entertaining, to say the least) to try to contact Ms. Root, who is probably too busy with her new baby to reply.

Yeah, I have caught Android Lust's stuff. Projekt throws some freebies my way, so I'm bound to run into them. I'm mostly looking for Wallace because of her composition and production. I tend to track artists for a sense of how their music has evolved, so I was looking for her latest in particular.

Best answer: Well, as of about 2003, the main fan site seems to have had no concrete information whatsoever either.

Per the latter, "Susan is living on the west coast and pursuing non-music related endeavors."

Sometimes people don't want to be found.
