1) i have a webcam on my laptop
2) it never gets used
3) i like the internet
4) i'm a poor college student

solution: webcam websites with no fee.

The chat in Gmail allows you to use a webcam.

Barcopedia tries to turn your webcam into a barcode scanner. I've yet to successfully scan a barcode with it though.
