Round Red Devil Destroyed In Record Time

My year old Black Lab is a squeaker killer. Looking for a dog toy with a indestructible squeaker.

My dog loves squeakers but we haven't found one that can handle her. Any recommendations? Not the red devil.

An Air Kong Squeaker (kind of a tennis ball with a squeaker in it) might be worth a shot.

Our dog loves Katie's Bumpers Frequent fliers they are not indestructible but they take a long time to kill. They are made from fire hose, have several squeakers and are very tough. I do not recommend Nylabone products (no squeakers anyway) we were warned too late about the damage they can do to teeth, our dog had to have 5 cracked teeth removed.

Mine does too, I still have yet to find anything that will withstand her. She'll even shred the Air Kongs. The longest squeakers that managed to stand her were the ones in Good/Bad Cuz. However, I don't allow her to play with them alone and if she's gnawing directly on the squeaker I will correct her.

I did find that it's worth buying them on Amazon.com at a slight discount. I bought Amazon prime so the shipping is free.

Response by poster: She'll kill an Air Kong Squeaker in five minutes. It's death by puncture or she bites out the squeaker.

Response by poster: As far as Bad Cuz goes, she killed the Red Devil in two hours. I'm losing hope. Obviously she needs supervision, but she loves squeakers so much.

My squeaker destroyer can only now play with the Good Cuz/Bad Cuz toys that SpecialK mentions. See here: http://www.petsmart.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3207032. They have a bunch of variants in PetSmart. Every once in awhile she starts focusing in on ripping out the squeaker, but it's easy to redirect, and I haven't lost one yet.

Her favorite is the one I call Mr. Feets, although Mr. Kitty is a close second. They have both died a thousand deaths by now.

On preview, then I don't know what to say. There's nothing stronger that squeaks.

I'm not sure if an indestructible dog squeak toy exists. One of the ones my dog has enjoyed the most though is from the AKC, and it's lasted a few days of on-and-off chewing. It's a stuffed toy with a durable covering. It's something like this one:

This Hurley dog toy may not be a squeaker, but the company that sells them will replace it one time if your dog ruins it.

I've had good luck with the Plush puppies hedgehog toy. My dog has had one for 4 years and it's her only toy that hasn't been totally destroyed (with the filling ripped out). Surprisingly, the squeaker still works

My mom's labs have not been able to destroy the Tuffy Toys
http://www.vipproducts.com/retail/files/index.php?cPath=27, you can see how they're made on this page - http://www.vipproducts.com/retail/files/pages.php?page=Tuffys%20-%20Construction - and you know your dog's abilities better than we do. However, a friend's Pitt Bull took down the enormous T-Rex in a matter of hours (note the damage to the hand).

The best luck I have had is with the Kyjen hard boiled softies. My dog tore apart the outer soft shell, but the hard rubber egg has lived on for a long time. I think my dog can't kill it off because it doesn't have any real edges to chew on. Note though, this squeaker makes a ridiculously annoying noise, much worse than a regular dog toy.

Seconding the Tuffy Toys recommendation. Our half Lab, who has destroyed pretty much everything else, loves the Mega Ring. It does dual duty as a frisbee for catch, and for tug-of-war. Our ring has lasted three years, and looks like it'll last at least one more.

I was coming in to recommend the Cuz toy as well. I'll be going now.

ya the ring thing works for the Labs I play with. no squeak though

I also came in to recommend the ball with feet. That was eventually destroyed by my dog, but it did take some time.

For something that does not squeak I can recommend this. The rope was dispatched in short order, but the rubber sole has proven indestructible (so far), even with unsupervised gnawing.

My year old Black Lab

When my dog was young, he was a squeaker-killer too. My solution at the time was to order a bunch of replacement squeakers over the internet. This was six years ago and I can't remember where I got them but Google is your friend. I'd pop four or five into one plush toy and close it back up, and that worked for a good long time. It didn't stop him from killing the squeakers, but it saved us a lot of money. Now he is eight, and not much into destroying squeakers the way he did when he was two. Time is your friend.

If your dog is killing the Good Cuz/Bad Cuz, have you tried bumping up a size? My dog killed the tennis-ball size one easily, but the jumbo size defeated him.
