Are there any archery instructors in the Toledo/Detroit area? All I've been able to find is the YMCA, and I'm too old for their classes.

Have you tried contacting the Toledo Area Boy Scouts? I used to teach archery at a boy scout camp and they sometimes got phone calls about people interested in private lessons.

After my mom spent hours playing Link's Crossbow Training on the Wii, I got her to try actual archery at a 'Women in the Outdoors' event. She had such a good time that she joined the the Detroit Archers. They have classes and leagues to participate in. And according to her everyone is incredibly nice and willing to help you.

There's 4 Seasons Archery in Ann Arbor. I've met one of the people who runs it, and she's great.
