BIG B BLACKBOARD

The font size on Blackboard is suddenly really big. This does not seem to be a problem at most other websites, though it is also the case at the FLDOE website. I have not changed the font settings in the computer. I turned the computer off and turned it back on (that always works).

How can I get Blackboard to smallen the font size? (smallen? ensmall? you know what I mean.)

Try using Ctrl and - (minus) to shrink the font size.

The css styles failed to download. Press Control-Shift-R while on the page.

In Firefox, use Ctrl-0 to return to default zoom settings. You may have accidentally rolled your mousewheel while holding Ctrl. I do this all the time.

Did you just get upgraded to IE8? We've seen some peculiarities in BB with IE8, fixed by using compatibility mode. Or, preferably, a non-IE browser.

If the obvious answers don't work, has your institution upgraded BB recently? I know that many places (mine included) are using this time of year (semester's end) to install BB 8. Unless your term ends a month before everyone else's, though, this probably isn't the case.

When you're in a course, look for the My Blackboard link at the top right of the page. Go there. In a similar location, you'll see My Settings. Click on that.

Click on the My Tool Options tab. You'll find some nifty options for font sizes.

Best answer: Shrink.

Best answer: Actually, what finally worked was holding down "control" and twirling the mouse thingie.

(I still have the old version of internet explorer; that may have something to do with it.)
