Where can I get soy pepperoni?

Where can I get soy pepperoni? Neither Whole Foods nor Trader Joe's seems to have it. Can I buy it online somewhere? Alternatively, if anyone knows of any other type of pepperoni which has no cholesterol then I'd be interested in that. I enjoy eating my cholesterol free sausage pizzas, but I miss pepperoni.

I get it at my local grocery store. It's usually in the vegetable section, which is a bit odd. There are three different grocers around me and they all carry it in the same area.

I second your usual grocery store (it's probably going to be in the produce section near the tofu). The most common brand is Yves. There is also LightLife, which should also be in most grocery stores.

The online vegan stores I know of (Pangea for the East Coast and Food Fight for the West) don't seem to carry it.

I'm surprised Whole Foods doesn't have it, but at least the one near me has been a little spotty at keeping certain things in stock.

I've found this stuff in my usual supermarket. Unfortunately, they don't seem to have a search to find the nearest carrier to you.

How about turkey pepperoni? I have no idea how it tastes, but it's much lower in cholesterol than beef or pork. (And it's GOTTA taste better than soy!)

This is surprising. I take it from the word "seems" that you haven't asked someone there to confirm? I'd go back and ask a clerk.

Seconding darksong. A good tip is that if you put some in a hot pan and fry it up for a bit first (needs no additional fat) it'll taste more like the real thing. Mmm, veggie pepperoni rolls.

I love Yves veggie pepperoni. It's even good to just snack on out of the package. Sometimes the regular grocery stores will have it, but in my neighborhood, I can usually find it at Henry's/Sprouts/whatever or Jimbo's, occasionally at Trader Joe's, and always at Whole Foods. If you still have no luck, two places on Google seem to sell it online in bulk.

Chocolate Pickle, turkey pepperoni can be really good. I was visiting my mother and scrounged up cheese, pepperoni, and crackers as a snack. I was on my second helping before I realized the pepperoni was turkey pepperoni.

Response by poster: As it turns out, Whole Foods actually does have soy pepperoni. I should have just asked. I didn't bother asking because I looked through the whole soy meats section and didn't find anything. I guess it was just hiding or out of stock at the time that I looked.
