Finding French films filter

French-film-filter: A movie shot entirely from the point of view of the main character, hands reaching out from underneath the camera and all. Early 90s, I think. Remembered spoilers/details below

I believe the character is a middle aged gentleman. He is having an affair with a young woman. She pulls a stunt of claiming that the doctors need to re-do a HIV test in order to get him to tell about past lovers.

Sounds hackneyed, yea. No idea if it was a good movie, just was reminded of that awful stunt recently.
