What's your favorite Internet-based, one-stop source of information on real estate listings in the US?

I've run across many sites touting real estate information, but the offerings are slim. Sometimes, I'll enter city and units-per-building data, only to come up with a blank page. Other times, the search results will be sparse on important details.

What I'm looking for is a site similar to--or even duplicating--the MLS, with comprehensive listings for cities and scads of detail on each asset.

I'm mainly interested in investment real estate, such as multifamily houses and buildings with good rental income. Nothing too big--downtown skyscrapers are out, needless to say. Where should I point my browser to?

I use zillow.com for real estate research. It's worth checking out, but probably not geared towards your needs specifically.

I just found out about Redfin yesterday. If they have your city, it's amazing - tons of details, including condo fees, past sales, Zillow price estimates, browse by Google Maps, and more.

I like Trulia.com even though I'm not sure they have all the data you're looking for.

Hotpads is pretty good. I like that they compare the price to the median of prices in the surrounding areas (city, zip code, state, etc). I also like that the map remembers houses you've already clicked on.
