What's a good dumpling and/or noodle joint in/near the Financial District (Manhattan)?

We work down at the Seaport, and are craving dumplings and noodles. We don't want to walk up to Chinatown, don't want sushi, and don't want buffet-style fixings. Surely there has to be some place closer to satisfy us, right?

OMG this is a silly question. If you can't bring the people to the Chinese food, bring the Chinese food to the people. Dumpling House delivers.

Your next best option, if delivery doesn't work for you, is either to eat salty sugary syrup at one of the buffet places in the financial district or suck it up and walk ten minutes down Pearl Street.

Best answer: Ho Yip, Liberty and Trinity/Church. Use the Chinatown line. (this is for noodle soup-I've never had their dumplings.)

FYI, Ho Yip is as far from South Street Seaport as Chinatown, just in a different direction.

Response by poster: Ho Yip is a fair bit closer than Dumpling House, who I'm pretty sure won't deliver this far down. It's a significantly inferior product, but I'll give the nod to spec80 for (a) being more technically correct, and (b) being less patronizing about it.

Whatever. I'd kick your butt in India Rails.
