Is it broken?

Does the DTV box need to be returned? We've got the DTV converter box. We've got channels that have switched and channels that have not. So the DTV box gets turned on and off. Here's the thing, when switching on it is taking 4 or 5 times of off/on sequences before it finally goes.

I would just take it back to the store and return it for another one, which should work substantially better than what you describe. If the new one doesn't work any better, I'd return it and get a different brand. There are many on the market, and the two I've installed have worked 100% right out of the box.
