How do I change the matrix of the legend in an Excel chart? I have 1x6, and I want 3x2. posted by trharlan to computers & internet (4 comments total)
You can just select and resize the legend so that you get the dimensions you want. Hope that Helps posted by JPD at 2:35 PM on November 19, 2004
Well, to make it clearer, I have this in my legend:
Foon
Foon2
Foon3
Foon4
Foon5
Foon6
And I want this:
Foon1 Foon2 Foon3
Foon4 Foon5 Foon6 posted by trharlan at 2:44 PM on November 19, 2004
Yup - That's what I thought you meant. I just tried it myself to make sure I wasn't crazy. It'll work.
You will probably have to move things around to make everything fit nicely though. posted by JPD at 2:53 PM on November 19, 2004
Ahh. I see, now, JPD. Thanks! I have to make the whole chart box really, really big in order to have the program give me the layout I want. And then I have to shrink it, and then I have to enlarge the chart part and reduce the legend. Hmm. If there's a less tedious way, I'd still love to hear it.
I won't hold my breath. User friendly, my arse. posted by trharlan at 2:56 PM on November 19, 2004
