All it needs is a little Push

Why doesn't Yahoo! Mail actually do Push to my iPhone?
Running an iPhone 3G on SoftBank Mobile (in Japan) and just set up a Yahoo! mail address to try to take advantage of the Push email, but it's just sort of sitting around looking bored when there is work to do. Basically, it doesn't poll the Yahoo! server until I do so manually or the phone does it on its own every fifteen minutes.
Am I doing something wrong? Running the most recent iPhone OS, only just set up the email address about half an hour ago (does it take a little while for Yahoo! to figure out it's an iPhone?), and it's not the default email account on the iPhone. Also, just to head off that potential line of questioning, I do in fact have Push enabled on the phone.
Any advice? I set it up using the built-in "I use Yahoo! Mail" option as well, with the assumption being that the information being given to me by Apple and Yahoo! could, er, be trusted.

Response by poster: Awesome! Rebooting saves the day, just like it seems to roughly 50% of the time when there is some sort of computer involved.
I will never understand the principle behind that.
