Contractor Recommendations

Does anyone have any recommendations for contractors in the Washington DC Metropolitan Area? I have bought a house in PG county MD which needs a complete renovation, and I need reliable contractors ASAP. All recommendations would be appreciated.
you are looking for the: National Association of Home Builders' Professional Designation Directory
look up the designation you are interested in (in this case probably a Certified Graduate Remodeler - CGR) and your zip code or look up the Graduate Master Remodeler (GMR). A GMR must have 15 years of remodeling industry experience as well as had their Certified Graduate Remodeler designation for at least 9 years
here is a list of CGRs within 50 miles of zip 20024 for example
in fact, one of the 12 GMR's in the country is located in Fairfax, VA
disclaimer: i do not work for any of the builders listed in the directory nor have used any of them previously/have any personal experience with them

I usually defer to angieslist.com -- it's a subscription service.
