Any experiences with using Lightning Source?

Does anyone have experience creating an account with Lightning Source? Do they have any unwritten requirements as to the scale of the publishing operation and the number of titles to be published per year?

I think the real criteria will be your metadata. If you have a legitimately registered ISBN prefix, or even just a few properly registered ISBNs, you shouldn't have a problem setting up an account. Scale is not their issue. Data will be a bigger priority.

They don't have any "unwritten requirements" in my experience--they're really quite good about spelling out their expectations from their clients. Read the fine print.

You might think about lurking in the "POD Self-Publishing and E-Publishing" subforum on AbsoluteWrite.com to get feedback from other folks who have used them.
