Any birders watch the Masters (golf) on television this past Easter weekend? Can you identify the bird that was heard repeatedly calling throughout the broadcast? Thanks.

here is a link to a post on "bird forum" (regarding last years masters)

doesnt seem to be a consensus but do know that CBS had piped in nature sounds before...and again it is from 2008 and if its actually the local wildilfe and not something that is piped in it should be accurate/good info still

(be aware i know nothing about birds, but did watch the masters lol)

I'm not sure about the specific bird. This list provides all of the birds in Georgia. This list is specific to Augusta, GA. Here are some specific guesses to the birds heard at Augusta National.

In the past, CBS used recorded bird calls to enhance the telecast. The problem is, the recorded birds were non-indigenous and astute viewers called them out on it.

I heard a cardinal throughout much of it.

I too heard a Northern Cardinal many times but there were also Carolina Wrens on several holes. Both birds have loud, repeated vocalizations. This link has calls for both birds. See if either the Cardinal or Wren calls sound like your bird.
