DC photo speeding ticket and insurance rates?

Will a DC photo enforcement speeding ticket affect insurance rates?

I know that it will not increase the number of points assessed on my license, but is that definitely synonymous with not affecting insurance rates? Or is the information public for the insurance companies to do with as they see fit?

I have never seen an increase in my rates from getting one. I don't see how they could raise your rates, actually, since rates are tied to drivers and the speed camera tickets are just sent to the registered owner of the car?

I would assume no points = no raise in rates, but I suppose its up to the insurance company.
