Slate.com's culturebox editor?

Who is the editor of Slate.com's culturebox? I want to submit a piece to them, but don't know who to address it to. The email address i'm using is letters@slate.com, but the name? Thanks!
The piece is about the effect of online self-help sites on imagination and originality. I think that'll fit in nicely at Slate. Any idea who I should send it to?

Response by poster: Yeah, it does look that way. I'd seen that on their website, but wasn't sure that was definitive

Googling "submissions slate" brings up this page:
http://www.slate.com/id/3940/
which says to mail them. (which makes me think they just aren't that into unsolicited submissions).

I once spoke to a Slate writer about submitting a piece. He said they're pretty reluctant to even look at work from new freelancers.

Reluctant or not, you're getting a definite "no" if you don't even try submitting it. The nature of the freelance beast, as it were.
I'd address it to John Swansburg, or contact Slate directly and inquire who to address the submission to.
