Easter in Sicily - where and when?

We are going to be in Sicily during the Easter week, and would be interested in experiencing some of the traditional Easter traditions, as pictured here and here. However, we don't know where to go at what time. Any relevant information and recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

Palermo is the center of the Easter Celebrations in Sicily. The Cathedral of Palermo actually has architectural features to determine the exact date of the vernal equinox, needed to figure the annual date of Easter.

There are events and thing all over town relating to Easter Week (it is not just a single day celebration). One of the biggest, most impressive things is the Cocchieri procession, which occurs on Good Friday, and starts at the Cathedral of Palermo.
