I have a Blackberry. I have an iPod Touch. Is there anyway I can get the iPod Touch to use the Blackberry to access the internet?

don't think so, how would you connect the two? no bluetooth on the touch, no wifi radio transmitter on the berry, no infrared on either.

I would sell both and buy an iPhone, which does all the things those two devices do.

Thanks a lot Muso -- except that the Blackberry was given to me for my job, and the iPod Touch came with the Macbook I bought.

Like By The Grace of God says, there isn't any way I can think of to connect the two. I'm assuming there is a reason wi-fi isn't working for you, but I don't think this is going to work at all. Would be pretty cool if it could, though.

It should be somehow possible in theory. The 2G iPod touch has bluetooth. I would assume, with some sort of jailbreaking or hacks, you should be able to connect to the internet via BT.

This may or may not require waiting for iPhone OS 3.0's release, since it officially unlocks the bluetooth.

According to this post, there's a thing you can buy that will allow you to do this. I found it by googling blackerry tether ipod touch. I have a touch, but no blackberry, so I can't comment personally on how this works in real life.

I realize this might defeat the purpose, but you could use the Blackberry tethered to your laptop to get internet, then broadcast a shared ad-hoc connection for the ipod.

floam, the 2G iPod touch does not have bluetooth.

Why can't you just surf from the BlackBerry?

Ok, I was just listening to the gdgt podcast and they actually talked about bluetooth on the iPod touch. There is a bluetooth chip on it, but the only thing that has access to it is that nike ipod add-on thing. For the sake of the record, I came back here to clear this up :)

Why do you say that?
