Man's Haircut Recommendation SJC area sought

Recommendations sought for "best place" for a man's haircut in the Monterey-Santa Cruz-San Jose area. Not looking for "SuperCuts" or your ole corner barber shop.
I would recommend Janet Lee at Hair International in Stanford Mall. Janet has been cutting hair for at least 20 years (that's how long I've been using her). 70% of her clients are men.
Her cuts are very precise. I have straight, thick hair, with a tendency to stick up if too short, and with a need to blend my salt and pepper. Janet always does this well.
It might be a bit of a drive, but it's the best I know in the area you're looking for.

Although I am female, I have two recommendations for you, both in Santa Cruz.
1) Pleasurehead
Pleasurehead is edgy and chic, but also friendly. The stylists are very talented and have a broad range of skills. The prices are reasonable. I got a great haircut there last week.
2) Le Salon Cruz
A more conventional salon than Pleasurehead, and a bit more pricey. Many friends of mine have had good experiences there -- they recommend in particular a stylist named Hope.
Good luck!

You should clarify ... so you're looking for something a step-up from both?
