What is the name of a contemporary American figurative painter, in his 40’ies, lives on the East Coast, possibly Philadelphia, who paints very realistic, elongated female nudes?

He’s been compared to Andrew Wyeth, studied with Russian painter whose name starts with M, was profiled in the New Yorker a couple of years ago. I think his name starts with C. I'm driving my co-workers crazy trying to remember his name. Please help!
