In search of a good furniture store in Chicago's western suburbs

Chicago Furniture: is there a western suburbs equivalent to Lincoln Park's Roy's Furniture (i.e. middle-quality, multiple-maufacturer, custom order)?

When we lived on the north side of the city, we bought most of our current furniture from Roy's. For those unfamiliar, their model seems to be (a) carry a handful of manufacturers, all of whom are mid-range in quality; (b) carry little or no actual stock, but instead have display models and make every sold piece a custom order (with a corresponding lead time of 3-6 weeks for delivery); (c) have just about every fabric-ed piece customizable in terms of fabric and color; and (d) as a result of (a)-(c), sell for a pretty low markup over the wholesale price.

We are in the market for a couch and want something mid-range. It seems our options are either high end (Toms-Price, Carson's, etc.), low end (Ikea, Value City, etc.), or manufacturer-specific (Ashley, Dania, Crate and Barrel, etc.). There must be a place like Roy's that is an independent middleman/collector of decent manufacturers. Ideally the place would be no farther north than Shaumburg and no farther south than Bolingbrook.

Howdy, neighbor.

The only thing I can think of is Walter E. Smyth, but that's high-end (to me), and I've never used them.
