Help me ID this image.

I've been using this image on my MySpace page and other sites (including my MeFi profile) for ages. I don't remember where I found it. All I remember is that sometime in early 2005, I googled "weird" or "bizarre" and then clicked images, and it was one of the first several results. I remember also that the page I found this image on had a number of similar ones, like a sequence of photos. Some think it looks like Dennis Hopper.

Anyway, I've grown accustomed to using it but I want to find out who created it and who it belongs to in case I want to start using it, or a modified version of it, for for-profit purposes.

I ran it through TinEye, the image search engine: "0 results, searched over 1.02 billion images in 0.558 seconds".

It looks to me like Ed O'Neill of "John from Cincinnatti" and "Married with Children" fame. The first 10 pages of google images searching on his name don't bring up any copies of your image, however.

Response by poster: Thanks, sharkfu, I tried TinEye as well as some other sites that do the same thing. I even tried sketching it up for RetrievR.

It reminds me of the older Exedrin commercials, of the "hands to the forehead, 'I've got a headache this big...' type." Of course, that might only be because you've titled it 'migraine avatar.'

Is there any chance it's Artie, the Strongest Man in the World?

It certainly looks like it was taken from video.

Given that it's low res & simple, I'd advise you to just go make your own. You'll need crappy glasses, paper, and a camera. A headache would help too.

Response by poster: Wow. The image has received almost 500 views today according to my Flickr stats. 6000+ myspace users think it's my face. I may just ask them to help me.

Response by poster: Which is not to say that I don't thank you all very much for giving it a try and having a look.!
