"Tonight" from West Side Story - punk rock cover by ... ?

Back in the eighties, I had a single of "Tonight" from the musical West Side Story. It was an awesome punk rock cover, but for the life of me, I can't remember the name of the band. Any ideas?

The band Schlong did a cover album of West Side Story called "Punk Side Story". But it was released in 1995, and I don't think Schlong existed until the early 90s. But I could be wrong about that.

Yeah.... the Schlong one is the one I know, too. I've gotta say -- for what it is, that's a pretty remarkable album.

Are you sure it isn't The Ramones? They did tons of fun and unexpected covers.

Response by poster: Nope, not The Ramones either. All I remember is that the song started out slowly, kinda like the musical, and by the time the chorus comes around it takes off in full blast. Great stuff.
