My partner is trying to get a James Bond (Sean Connery era) replica tuxedo made, any thoughts on where he should go?

Have you thought of trying any second hand clothes stores? A 'James Bond' tux of the Connery era is just a contemporary 1960's Dinner Suit. It's not necessarily special, just good quality dinner wear of the time.

I'd have thought that any half decent dinner suit of the time would pass muster, given the variety he wears in the films.

I've heard Jake Vintage is good, but it's a day's drive or so from you.

Search no more. Baron Boutique.com. http://www.baronboutique.com/movie_replica.htm I know having a suit made in Nepal based on measurements you have taken yourself sounds improbable, but I had my wedding suit made by this company and it was the best fitting suit I've ever owned. My wife and I took the measurements ourselves and in less than two weeks (and for just over $200) I had a hand-made, white linen suit delivered to my door. They will reproduce any suit or dress from any movie.

Connery's suits were, of course, bespoke. They were made by Anthony Sinclair, and inspired the so-called Conduit Cut, named for his location on Conduit St.

Apparently Sinclair's business successor is Richard W. Paine, now actually on Savile Row [or not].

Apparently Ozwald Boateng's work is considered similar.
