Help me remember this website?

Does anyone remember a blog/diary site of woman who claimed to be on the run?

This was years ago. She purported to be on the run from her family (possibly European) who were very wealthy and out to kill her, I think. She was posting as she travelled under assumed idenitities through South America, maybe? There was much arguing in the comments about whether it was real or some sort of art project or book plot. I feel like it was in the days before blogspot etc, when anyone could do this. I suspect it is long gone, but can't stop googling to try and find it.

Best answer: Was it She's a Flight Risk? The site no longer exists, but there's evidence that it existed here. The woman's name was isabella. I remember it being an interesting read in the beginning, but I started to lose interest in it over time.

Best answer: She's a Flight Risk, although the link to the newer site appears to no longer work, and the archives are gone.

(That is what The Internet Archive is for.)

That was it. Probably a well-written hoax. Loved her mixes though. The fake Panamanian lawyer was a nice touch too.

This Esquire interview with "Isabella" is also a good read.

I wanted to believe in her story so much. I remember flipped out when, after writing her at the e-mail address she disclosed, I eventually got a reply.

I remember buying that issue of Esquire just for the story.

thanks for the esquire link.

I have a pretty thorough copy of that site stored somewhere on my hard drive... I'll ping you if I can find it.
