What kind of cactus is this, and how do I care for it?

I've no idea as to the variety, but the fact it seems to be slightly hairy might help with a diagnosis.

Keep it on a sunny windowsill. Not too much water in summer, and less in winter. Feed it a few times a year. If it starts to look shrivelled, give it a bit more to drink.

My guess would be that it's an oreocereus. I would replant it in a slightly larger pot with cactus soil (you can get it at Home Depot or Lowes) and leave it in a place with lots of sun.

I've got a few of these around the house, but have no idea what kind it is. Best advice - good drainage and don't over-water. And give it as much sun as possible.

Get some cactus soil and move it to a bigger pot, it looks like it's overgrown its current one and is about to tip over.
