Identify this men's jacket

I'm trying to identify this jacket or windbreaker I saw someone wearing. It was black, with a large red spider on the back.

I'm afraid I don't remember any other identifying details, but it looked good as a sporty, casual thing. Google is failing me - ideas?

Could it be Spyder?

Long shot... but could it be from this?

A few years ago, I saw a lot of logowear for that band, and I'm pretty sure I saw black spiders as well as red ones. But... like I said, long shot.

karizma, that seems like a very good guess (in any case, thanks for the link, I like their jackets!), but the one I'm looking for had a huge red spider on the back.

You'd think the Spyder website would show that in their product shots, but I checked out a bunch of them and there's not a single back shot, so it's probably a fair guess that the back is blank.

Yeah I noticed no back shots as well. They could very well be blank.

Does the spider logo you saw match the Spyder logo shown on the website? It could be that the jacket you saw came from an earlier edition of their product line, and maybe they have scaled back their designs somewhat since then. It's a guess. The spider logo is going to be the biggest clue here no doubt.

Maybe you might give Spyder a call and ask them if they've ever produced a jacket such as the one you are looking for. Even if they don't make it, it will at least rule them out as you continue on in your search!

Good luck!

paperclip: I live in Denver, Colorado (and in Boulder on the weekends) and often drive past the Spyder offices and factory. And I see a lot of their jackets around. I can tell you this: what you're describing sounds almost certainly like one of their jackets - but I don't know if you'll find it on their web site necessarily. Like a lot of the trendier winter-sports clothing makers, they have a lot of different styles that are updated seasonally. You won't find some styles from even six months ago on their web site.

I can remember having a Spyder coat like the one you describe fifteen years ago when I was in high school. It was pink, but it had the spider on the back and everything.

I'd second calling their office and asking - I'll bet they're friendly.

Response by poster: Thanks all, I'm fairly convinced it was a Spyder now! Excellent point about the seasonal designs, and from memory I think the logo matched, even though memory can be tricky.
