Is it possible to import messages to Yahoo! mail?

I'm trying to help someone migrate from Outlook to Yahoo! mail. They want to bring their old mail with them. I can't see any way to import mail into Yahoo! Contacts, yes, but mail, no. Does anyone know if it is possible to import either mbox or EML files to Yahoo! mail?

(This question has been asked before - http://ask.metafilter.com/78229/Can-I-upload-old-emails-into-my-Yahoo-Mail-account - but that was a while ago so I want to check that nothing's changed in the meantime.)

Yahoo has a "plus" service that you pay for --there may be a function available there which allows for this. If IMAP is available (as it is with gmail) it's possible to drag and drop messages or entire folders using a client like Outlook or, probably better for this, Thunderbird.

Beyond this you could check out mailsync.sourceforge.net.

And perhaps you could inject to gmail via IMAP then POP to collect in yahoo.

Yes, I had seen the Gmail-IMAP-POP idea elsewhere, but was hoping there was an easier way...

Doesn't eliminate the GMail-IMAP step, but after that, Yahoo do offer an automatic migration service:
