What's a good shaker cup?

Can you recommend a good shaker cup?

In trying to shake up my protein/diet powder stuff in water, I can shake it in my current cup until the cows come home and there will still be annoying clumps of powder inside. Anyone know a good brand of shaker cup? I use this one and it even has a filter thingy in it which is supposed to help break up the clumps, but it doesn't work too well.

Oh, and with this particular powder, using a spoon to stir it does absolutely nothing. The only thing that really works so far is a blender, but I don't want to take one to work.

I have one of these and it seems to work pretty well. So far, I have only used it for marinades and salad dressing, but it makes both pretty smooth.

I have this one, and it is great. Clump-free!

Have you thought about taking a hand or immersion blender to work. They are quite portable, easy to clean and durable.. Also, the temperature of the liquid can be quite important in mixing--particularly in avoiding clumps. Good luck in your search

As someone who whips up twenty to thirty ounces of formula a day, have you considered a whisk? You can buy smallish ones that might fit in the cup you describe. I don't think the cup is the problem, I don't think you can get the momentum you need to break the clumps up in a small container without introducing something to break them up.

Another vote for the Blender Bottle (lemonwheel's link). It's essentially like a drink-mix cup, with a little round whisk in it. Even protein shake mixes that do not stir well at all seem to mix up OK in about 30 seconds. And you can essentially rinse it clean, though it couldn't be a bad idea to put the whisk ball in the dishwasher from time to time.

And for $9, how far wrong could you go?

Blender bottle is excellent. You may want to reconsider the brand/type of protein powder you are using as well if clumps are too much of a hassle.

nth-ing the blender ball, works like a charm. Be careful, though, if you also use it to make scrambled eggs, i failed to clean it properly once after doing just that and later the protein shake made me horribly ill for a day...but it really does work great.
