Replacing a Laptop DVD Drive

I need to replace a DVD drive on a Samsung R50 laptop. The drive in there now is a slimline (Teac DV W28EA). Do I need to replace with another slimline or will any standard laptop DVD drive fit?

I don't know anything about the Samsung R50 laptop, but generally standard slim line drives and will fit fine.

As far as I know all laptop cd/dvd drives are slimline.

Any of the drives here should work. Just make sure to get an IDE drive and not a SATA drive. The Teac DV W28EA is IDE.
