How to get started receiving recurring payments

Can someone help me get started with recurring payments (receiving them, that is). I've got access to Miva Merchant. Will that help? I know Paypal can handle recurring payments, but I'm inclined to believe there are better and cheaper ways.

FirstACH is able to process recurring direct debit (check) transactions. Much cheaper than using credit cards. However, this isn't a good option for all business plans -- what is it that you will be charging for?

I set this up for my HOA this month. Call around to the banks in your area. I found a bank that would allow ACH debit. If you use the words 'ACH debit' they should know what you mean. My bank charges $25/month for the service and $.12 for each transaction. There is some setup and I do have to fill out a financial statement, but that's the best option I found.
