printer problem

LJ 1300 protection fault.

I got a new computer with Vista Home Premium and Word 2007 (from Windows XP and Word 2003). My HP 1300 printer worked fine but would not print multiple copies.

I downloaded the current driver from the HP site. The printer now prints multiple copies but has two new problems. First, when I go to Print and select Properties, I get an error:

C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office 12\WINWORD.EXE

Function addres 0x512df93 caused a protection fault. (exception code 0xc0000005)
Some or all property page(s) may not be displayed.

The Microsoft Knowedge Base has entries on the 0xc0000005) exception code, but all apply to earlier versions of Windows.

Also, the printer, seemingly at random, prints documents with the top of the page where the bottom usually is.

Word is crashing. You may need to re-install office. Unless you know how to use a debugger. In that case, post the stack with symbols.
