Help me find this Chinese pop song!

Please help me find this Chinese pop song that I heard in Shanghai in February 2007.

So I recently saw this link, and it reminded me that I never found this song I heard in Shanghai in February 2007. This song was played constantly, so I'm pretty sure it was rather new and popular at the time, and the guy even performed live on one of the big Chinese New Year shows. I remember the guy was just a normal looking guy with black rimmed glasses, and I think he was playing the guitar when he performed. The song was kind of slow and very heartfelt (if that means anything), and I have no idea what the words meant, but I got the feeling it was a love song or something. I would love to find it, because it would remind me of the great time I had in Shanghai every time I hear it.

Alternatively, are there any other sites like the one in the link above where I would be able to browse through Chinese songs/videos?

Sadly, youtube and such are blocked at work, so I might not be able to confirm or deny anything that way until I get home today, but thanks in advance for any and all help you can give!

i'm guessing khalil fong from the description of black rimmed glasses, and the ability to play the guitar. best i can do from that one.

Response by poster: Well, from that guy's wiki page, he looks a little skinnier than the one I remember, I vaguely recall him having a slightly rounder face, though I don't think he was fat or anything. I will have a listen to some of his songs when I get home, though. Oh, and I wasn't 100% sure on the guitar playing part, either. My long-term memory for things like that is pretty poor, it seems. I wish I had asked this earlier! Thanks for the suggestion!

Here's some video of Khalil Fong, which is who it sounds like to me as well.

I can't listen to music right now, so I can't pinpoint it for you, but you might be looking for "Sing a long song".

"Sing a long song" is English, so it seems unlikely that that would be the song in question. Was it "Love Love Love"? The quality of that link is kinda crappy, but that song was really popular around December 2006, which fits with your timeline.

TuDou.com is kind of like the Chinese version of Youtube, if you want to give that a try.

Best answer: This is the search for the 2007 CCTV Chinese New Year Gala, and on the side (beside the main search results) there are playlists for the Gala, if you feel like going through four hours of footage.

Victor Wong (品冠) fits the description, although I don't see any news about him being in China during the lunar new year. Maybe songs like this or this (from a hugely popular 2006 album) may jog your memory?

This site lists the weekly top ten hits on MTV China - you can click around to try your luck.

Response by poster: My fiancee just listened to the link from demagogue, and yes, it appears that there are english words in it that make it not the song I'm looking for. Hopefully she will be back with the verdict on Love Love Love shortly. And Phire, that link is awesome, I think I've got my plans for tonight!

Response by poster: So I still haven't found it yet, but it's mostly for lack of time at the moment, and I'm sure I will find it through Phire's link when I get the chance, thanks!
