Two streams (want to) become one

How can I combine a presentation and video stream in real time to stream to Ustream.tv?

We've been toying with streaming and recording our monthly Ruby group meetings for remote attendees and the first pass didn't work so well. This is where you come in AskMe.

Last month, I just pointed a webcam at the wall and tried to do the best I could recording a person and a projector. It worked okay, but remote attendees weren't able to see the presentation as clearly as I would have liked.

This month, I'd like to combine the presentation and live video of the presenter in a single stream to Ustream. Anyone have any advice?

I'm on a Mac, but I used an XP virtual last month to access the Adobe Flash Media Encoder so I'm open to either platform. Or Linux. Why not.

Ditch uStream. The quality is inferior for anything you're going to try. Instead, take a look at Zoho's free Meeting. This will allow you to show your desktop to remote attendees while you talk into a microphone. Please be sure to test like crazy before the actual meeting.

I went with CamTwist and ustream. Worked great.

Video here, if anyone wants to see what it looks like:
