Next week David Lapham, one of my favorite comics writers, begins a year-long run on Detective Comics. I haven't read anything Batman related since "Hush", so is there any site I can go to for general synopses of the storylines since then, so I'm not completely lost when I pick up issue #800?

I've found plenty of Batman fan sites, but most of them either stopped updating years ago, or don't have information about individual storylines or issues.

Maybe you can check out the DC Comic Webboards and glean the status of current story arcs from postings

Trade paperbacks from the last few years? Also, my daughter gave me this book for Xmas last year. (A geek momma's proudest moment!) It's got some good overview stuff, so at least you'll know who's who and what's what.
