How do I edit PDF Title, Author and Publisher info so that book information loads properly in ADE Adobe Digital Edition?

I am a new user to Adobe Digital Edition, a program that takes PDFs and other formats and lets you read them as books. I put a bunch of PDFs into ADE, and they all read fine. The problem is that more than half of the PDFs I added don't have accurate Title, Author or Publisher data. I want to clean up this info so that my index/bookshelf looks right, but have no idea how to edit these three fields in ADE or directly in the PDFs. I have looked everywhere I can find in ADE. Help!

I don't use Adobe Digital, but that sort of document metadata is usually editable from the top menu bar File > Properties, or File > Document Properties. Or, you can right-click a .pdf file, choose Properties, and the PDF tab.

The metadata is built into the file. Acrobat is the most direct way of editing/creating it, although there are a number of other tools that can do that too.

My company makes a toolkit that can do that in a couple lines of C# or VB, but I don't think that's what you're looking for.

Best answer: i had the same issue when dumping ebooks across from pc to Sony ebook reader, and came across BeCyPDFMetaEdit via mobileread.com, it's the first link that plinth directs to. it works fine.
