A Day Without Mexicans
October 26, 2004 8:53 AM

About two weeks ago I was in Chicago and saw a billboard stating something along the lines of "A Day Without Mexicans..." and gave a url of adaywithoutmexicans.com as well as a date for last month (Sept) that this was supposed to happen. I was kinda shocked by this and went to the website but all I get is a godaddy default page. Anyone from Chi-town know what this was about?

Man, that would be nice. My town would be utterly deserted and I wouldn't have to listen to idiots in Expeditions pumping out bass beats as they cruise my neighborhood again.

Don't bother, fenriq. You can never get rid of them all, and then they'll just come back and before you know it you're in the docket at the international criminal court.

Yeah, Fenriq, I can't wait till we get rid of white people. The subway would be way less crowded and I wouldn't have to look at dumb women in themed appliqué sweatshirts. Fucktard.

At the risk of underailing this, the movie is political satire, the premise being that if all the Mexicans [a basic catch-all story about the underclass, but focusing on Latinos in California in this case] one day mysteriously vanished, the economy of the US would grind to a standstill
As time goes by, the State continues to deteriorate: Garbage has taken over the streets and tears are permanently painted on the faces of most citizens as the 5th largest economy in the world tumbles. The realization that what has disappeared is the very thing that keeps the “California Dream” running – cooks, gardeners, policemen, nannies, doctors, farm and construction workers, entertainers, athletes, as well as the largest growing market of consumers – has turned Latinos and their return into the number one priority in the State.
