Should I read the '89 "Avengers Kree-Skrull War" before "Universe X"? (I am already on issue 2 of UX, but wonder if I'm missing stuff from not having read KSW first).

Doesn't matter. Everyone knows that.

Which one was originally published first? Therein lies your answer.

By the way, the question is eminently googleable. I personally don't know anything about the Kree-Skrull War, and find references to it kind of confusing, but you might start here.

I too prefer to read things in chronological order, but sometimes it's fun not to get the whole thing right away. When I finally read the original story of "The Coming of Galactus", I was rewarded retroactively for remembering puzzling elements of "Marvels".

Response by poster: FWIW: I know that KSW was published earlier than UX, my question is "is it relevant?".
I wasn't looking for links to a chronology of the Marvel Universe (especially since UX is non-canonical), but thanks, all the same.

nah, it's not necessary, but you should read _Earth X_ first.
