Where in London should I watch the Obama inauguration?
Although I moved out of the US a few weeks ago, I feel it's my God-given right (and duty!) as a red-blooded American to watch the man I voted for take the oath. Where do you suggest I do this? A pub environment with fellow ex-pats would be fun, though I'm open to nearly anything. I live in Islington and am willing to travel.
Thank you!

I was in Mexico for the election. I just walked around town until I saw crowds and hubub. I realize that's not the most efficient method, but it may turn up pockets of hipness you wouldn't find it you just went to a big tourist hotel. If lazy, go to a big tourist hotel. One middle-range gambit would be to figure out which coffee shops are frequented by Americans, and look for notices posted on bulletin boards there. Final option would be to just find the lefty-est venue in town, and join with the brits. in fact, be their resident American for the night.
Of course, you may get more specific advice. Me, I'm a digger-arounder....
