Did Teddy Pendergrass do a Coca Cola advertisement 30-ish years ago?

Some time in the early 80's (late 70's?) I have a vague memory of a very cool song being sung baritone by a handsome guy walking down stairs towards his cool stereo (and maybe a lovely lady)... it's so vague, I was young, but seeing an old Teddy Pendergrass LP triggered that memory, but none of the Teddy songs I have similarly trigger the memory. Hmmmm.

He did a commercial for Celebrity Jeans. They were called Teddy jeans according to a google search. (link)
