I am looking for examples for how businesses IN BRAZIL use social media to sell products and services. I am especially interested in how businesses are using Orkut, Twitter and other social networking websites to accomplish this. Thank you. I sincerely appreciate your help.

While it's not entirely 'social media' a lot of companies in Brazil (especially
São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro) have turned to email marketing to sell their products and services.

From what I've read and heard, Elite Email Marketing supports portuguese and is popular in Brazil.

The conversion rates of emails is also generally higher than other mediums.

Hope this helps a little bit. =)
