Dosa in Chicago?

Where do you eat dosa in Chicago? The internet offers only two places on Devon (Mysore Woodlands and Udupi Palace). I've got no problems going to Devon (and will check these places out although I suspect one of them was the place we went to get dosa that did not have them), but are these really the only two places in Chicago that serve dosa?
If you want anything Indian, it's on Devon. Period. It just might not be advertised on the internet or wherever you checked.
My advice? Head up to Devon and explore. Ask people on the street.

I went to Udupi regularly whenever we visited Chicago and specifically for dosa. Last time I was there was ten years ago but I can't imagine their menu has changed. Very good stuff there.

I had dosa at Mysore Woodlands in the spring (of '08). However, a few months ago (September/October?) we tried to go there again and they'd been shut down by the city for something. Probably it was temporary, but I haven't been back up there since that time, so I don't know.
I don't know of another place, but I'd be surprised if other places around there didn't have it.

I've got the answer for you, if you're willing to go to Schaumberg--it's Priya, truly fantastic South Indian food and an undiscovered gem. I know they have a lunch buffet (apparently unadvertised on their website)--might be at dinner too, but I've never been there then; they have quite a variety of dosas on their menu. So very good.
For what it's worth, a friend and I went to Mysore Woodlands and both got a vicious stomach ache--and we both have cast iron stomachs.

Both places your search turned up are good, although I tend to go to Mysore Woodlands (and yes, it reopened after its brief closure). I'm pretty sure The Indian Garden, which is next to Mysore (Udupi is across the street) serves dosai too.

Both of those places will definitely have dosa, and are probably the best for it. If you want N. Indian food, I highly recommend Tiffin, if it's still there....

I had some last night off the buffet at Sher-a Punjab, across the street from Udupi Palace. I recommend Udupi Palace. It is all vegetarian and BYOB.

Skip Tiffin - go to Viceroy of India for North Indian. And seconding Udupi for Dosa. I was there last night, and the Dosa are wonderful.
