Does anyone have information about how Vonage (VOIP) phone service and LifeLine Medical Alert system works together? Any documentation from either company?

I can't answer your question specifically, but my concern (and probably dealbreaker) would be that Vonage doesn't work during a power outage. Given the increased risk of accident or emergency in the dark or when trying to devise some method of heating or cooking when there's no power, I would want service even if the power is out.

I'm young and healthy and the only reason I feel safe having Vonage (given the 911 issues in general) is that I have a cell phone.
